WHAT IS THE
EUROPEAN FORUM?

This event, organized by the European Network of Innovation for Inclusion and led by Action Against Hunger, is an annual meeting that brings together European experts in social innovation, inclusive employment, and entrepreneurship.

This 14th edition, themed “Moving towards more innovative, more inclusive, and more connected systems” will take place in Madrid on November 13th at the Action Against Hunger Auditorium and was broadcasted live on the YouTube channel of Acción Social España (in Spanish) and the LinkedIn account of the European Network of Innovation for Inclusion (in English), making it accessible to participants and organizations across Europe.

Social innovation offers new ways of addressing social challenges, yet many successful initiatives struggle to move beyond the projects in which they originate. The challenge is to ensure that public authorities are aware of these initiatives and incorporate them into their policies. At this year’s Forum, we will explore how to take this next step and how these initiatives can help improve public services and make better use of available resources.

We will look at the challenges faced by social purpose organisations, what public authorities expect from them, and how they can work together to take these initiatives further. We will also hear about concrete examples and explore the role of the European Network for Innovation for Inclusion in supporting this process. Because for an innovation to have a lasting impact, it is not enough for it to work: it must reach more people.
